It was resolved to approve the quarter 1 accounts. This can be viewed on the Parish Website.
Proposed Cllr Packer, Seconded Cllr McCallion
The Insurance for 2023/4 has been renewed with Zurich Insurance.
8. PLAY AREA
The contractor has replaced nuts and bolts that were missing from the swings and replaced the rotten parts on the climbing frame making it safe for use. He will return to repair the boundary posts. He has noted that there are large splits in most of the wood but is currently safe to use.
The upgrade of the play area is showing signs of weed growth. On inspection the membrane has not been laid and the stone isn’t to the specification of the quotation. Letter to be sent to the contractor.
9. HIGHWAYS
DC Rob Leadenham informed the council that he would like all the 6 parishes in Belvoir Ward to work together to clamp down on speeding throughout the area. The suggestion is that each parish buys a handheld system. Rather than using the equipment in their own area it has been suggested that they could have a system whereby they do the monitoring for other parishes rather than their own.
It was resolved to purchase a handheld speed camera. Proposed by Cllr Packer, Seconded Cllr McCallion.
Cllr Packer will try and download the data from the speed camera showing volume and speed of traffic.
All the speed cameras in the village have now been serviced by Cllr McPhilbin.
10. COBLEAS
The payment for the water is being passed to the Church PCC.
In 1948 the Church PCC asked for more land for burials. The Castle gifted the land at Cobleas to the Lincoln diocese who passed it on to Woolsthorpe by Belvoir PCC. The PCC has been informed but has asked for further confirmation. Cllr McCallion is researching this information.
