No declarations of Members interests in relation to agenda items.

223/26   To consider the quote for the Playground repairs

An updated quote of £4558.30 had been received from the chosen supplier.

The contractor confirmed that their Public Liability Insurance would remain valid throughout the duration of the works on site.

To ensure public safety, the play area will be closed for the duration of the works and temporary metal fencing will be installed around the area.

The existing bark surface will be raked and levelled before being topped up to achieve a depth of 300mm.

A discussion took place regarding the use of bark as the surfacing material and it was noted that where the critical fall height is below 1.2 metres, grass may be a suitable alternative. This option will be considered should the area require refurbishment in the future.

The contractor noted that the quotation had been prepared based on photographs supplied to them.

It was AGREED that the total expenditure, including any unforeseen works, should not exceed £5,000.

Cllr. A. Hill was appointed as the designed on-site contact for the duration of the project and was authorised to approve any additional spending, if required, up to the agreed maximum total project cost of £5,000.

Works to be scheduled to commence on 20th August 2026.

There being no further business the meeting closed at 19.14.
