Minutes of an Extraordinary Parish Council Meeting
held at Woolsthorpe Village Hall
Monday 22nd June 2026 at 19.00

 Welcome from the Chair
 Cllr. McCallion welcomed everyone to the meeting.
 
195/26 To receive apologies for absence
There were no apologies.

196/26 To receive Declarations Of Pecuniary Interest In Accordance With The Localism Act 2011
 No declarations of Member interests in relation to agenda items were received.
 No requests for dispensations from Members were received.

197/26 To consider and approve the AGAR 2025/26
 The AGAR 2025/26 had been circulated before the meeting and was considered.
 Agreed: To approve the AGAR for 2025/26, which would be published on 23rd June 2026.

198/26 To receive and note the internal auditor’s report for 2025/26
The report had been circulated before the meeting and was read out.
Agreed: To approve the internal auditor’s report for 2025/26.

199/26 To discuss and approve items arising from the internal auditor’s report for 2025/26
The items arising from the report were read out and noted. All items would be addressed and
rectified.

200/26 To consider applications for the Parish Council vacancies:
Two applications had been received and the applicants were asked to introduce themselves and
questions were asked.
It was proposed by Cllr. McCallion, seconded by Cllr. P. Hill and AGREED to co-opt Angela Ryland and Nicki Ellis to the Parish Council.

201/26 To consider proposals for the replacement bus shelter
Permission had been granted from Belvoir Estates to replace the existing bus shelter with a new
one. Cllr. McCallion to liaise with The Duke regarding the proposed rental of the land the bus shelter
sits on.
Funding had been secured from SKDC towards to the cost of the replacement bus shelter.
The cost to removing old bus shelter and fitting new one is £700 + VAT.
Information and costs of a replacement bus shelter to be circulated to Councillors and the item was deferred to the July Parish Council meeting for a decision.
ACTION: Clerk to confirm insurance covers the replacement bus shelter.

202/26 Matters for report
Telephone kiosk – It was reported the telephone kiosk had been repainted. Consideration for the purchase of new glass to be considered at the July Parish Council meeting.
ACTION: Letter of thanks to be sent to company who provided the paint and to the resident who obtained the paint.
Woolsthorpe-by-Belvoir Extraordinary Parish Council Meeting 22nd June 2026
Playground – Had been reopened but some repairs were required. Quotes to be considered at the July Parish Council meeting.
Noticeboard – Thanks were made to Cllr. A. Hill for tidying up the area.
Speedwatch – Cllr. McCallion to liaise with volunteers and had put up signs around the village.
A resident congratulated the volunteers who carried out Speedwatch during the Forbidden Forest event.
Fingerboard sign – A resident noted that the sign required repainting.

There being no further business the meeting closed at 19.50.
